For my blog this Thanksgiving season, I'm doing a feature on ships I'm thankful for. Over five days next week, I'll be watching one episode for each of the ships on my list.  Matt/Harriet is one of those ships. All I need you guys to do is go here to my livejournal and vote which episodes I should watch. It will take you two seconds and I would really appreciate it.

Do You Like To Write?

Like to write? Love any of the shows on the NBC Network? Great! There is a new challenge, called nbc_las, where you write a fanfic of at least 100 words every two weeks based on a different prompt. Then they get voted on and the person with the least votes is out that week and the person with the most is safe next week. Till you have one author standing who wins! What do you win? A snazzy graphic and a $10 GC to Amazon or Barnes & Noble. You don't even need to be a GREAT writer!

... who will come out on top?

Hey, kids....there's a new cycle over @ sorkinverse!

It's a challenge community that is divided into three teams (Sports Night, West WIng, & Studio 60). Basically you do different things to win points and one team wins every cycle.

Hey all - I'm looking for a clip that used to be on You Tube of the Christmas Show - Oh Holy Night.  Someone had posted one without the dialogue and I'm not having any luck finding it.

Hey, everyone! I'm popping in quickly to spread the word about a fun new community, sorkinverse. It looks awesome. It's a community in which members are split amongst three teams--Team West Wing, Team Studio 60, and Team Sports Night. Each team will compete in friendly challenges of all kinds--writing, trivia, graphics, etc. And fun will surely be had by all!

This is going to be lots of fun. Join up! Make some new friends and interact with ones you might already have! Have fun! There will be lots!

Hear ye! Hear ye! Calling all writers! I'm posting here as a co-moderator of the newly created rerun_bigbang to get the word out about this writing challenge, tailored to writers who belong to "dead" fandoms--fandoms that belong to televisions shows that have gone off the air.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with Big Bang challenges, allow me to explain in a nutshell. In general, Big Bang challenges are those in which writers sign up to write a story that pertains to a particular fandom and is over 20,000 words (though, certain fandoms have other minimum word count requirements).

The rerun_bigbang challenge is a multi-fandom challenge and will enable writers to sign up to write a story within one of ten fandoms (fandoms will be decided by poll) that belong to television shows that are no longer producing new episodes. It's never too late to write for a show, even if it's been off the air for years, right? It's never too late to reignite your love--or express the love that just refuses to fade--for a show or its fandom. There are new viewers and readers discovering "old" fandoms every day and veterans who still find themselves coming back. So here's a chance to dive into your tried and true favorites!

We will have a FAQ, Rules, and Timeline section up soon. For now, we are only asking for fandom submissions. That is, since there are many shows that have gone off the air and since we feel that, in order to moderate well, a limit must be drawn, we need your help--potential writers, readers, cheerleaders, etc.--to decide which fandoms will be included amongst the challenge's ten.

So which fandoms would like to write for? Which ones would you like to see included in the challenge? Hit us with your suggestions! No fandom is too small or too extinct. The suggestion post is set to close on March 21st. After that, a poll will be posted and fandoms will be decided!

Make your suggestion here! And, of course, spread the word to those in other fandoms if you can! The more the merrier!

I haven't made icons in a while, but I was struck with the urge. Now I think I just might do the entire series. *g*
